Why Mattijs Bergen is Making Waves in the World of Fashion



Mattijs Bergen first came to the attention of many people at London Fashion Week in September 2008, when he presented his spring / summer collection, in all the bright metal glory. Mattijs the voluminous shapes threw a striking combination with the palette of contrasting light and neutral tones, shiny and matte metallic chiffons. Perhaps it is no surprise considering the designer comes from the same art college as a conceptual fashion designers Viktor and Rolf, but still was great to witness.

After graduating from Artez Hoge School in Arnhem, Mattijs Van Bergen decided to hone his craft at the prestigious MA Fashion wear rate on Central St. Martins College of Art in London, where his final collection went to a limited production was a critical success.
